Chef Olivier Elzer


Born in Germany and raised in France, Chef Olivier Elzer was first awarded Michelin star in 2007, at an impressively young age of 29. 

Chef Elzer is of French and German descent and his repertoire of dishes run the gamut from haute French cuisine to hearty homestyle Alsatian dishes.  He is currently the Culinary Director at St Regis Hong Kong and head chef at L’Envol.

Starting from getting the restaurant’s first ever 1 Michelin star for Abbaye de la Bussierre in France way back in 2007, Chef Olivier Elzer never missed being acknowledged for his extraordinary culinary talent, for 13 years in a row, till present, he has a total of 19 stars in pocket.

1 star for 3 years for Abbaye de la Bussierre from 2007-09, then in Asia Hong Kong 2-star for Pierre, Mandarin Oriental HK for 3 years, 2009-11, and a 3-stars for L’atelier de Joel Robuchon HK from 2011-15.

Chef Olivier Elzer then started his own named restaurant Season’s by Olivier e and got 1-star for this casual fine dining restaurant, for 3 years of 2015-18, next he challenged himself for opening L’Envol for St Regis HK, and was soon awarded 1-star in 2019-20 when the restaurant was just opened for 8 months.
